HI I am new to this i would like to get your guys help with my new car! It 1995 eclipse GS!
i really wanted a GST OR GSX but i didnt have that much money. This cars is really nice and i got for cheap! one problem is that i bought it as is and it has a blown engine. i knew that when i bought it but really wanted a project car! i just want to know a couple things. If i get a 420a motor could i really reach around 400hp to the wheel? also would doing a engine swap work better? also i know there is going to be alot of money needed but i have a job and i wanted done by this summer! i was told that a 1g 4g63t is a better engine? or should i go with a 2g 4g63t engine? there is alot i want to know and i am open to opions!! any help i would take. :)

if you have a 420a 4oohp is a long ways away, a 2g 7 bolt 4g63 is a crankwalker and a 1g 6bolt 4g63 is a stock bottom capable of 400 hp or more

but if you have a 420a, a 4g63 swap is out the question as you would need :ohdamn:

So are you telling me that i dont really have a choice but to get another 420a engine? that really sucks. what extectly dose a crankwalk do? how much power can i really get out of a 420a then?

So What Am I Really Going To Expect Out Of The 420a Engine?

What is Crankwalk? You ask. Well Here Is what Crankwalk is, Take note that these guys cought it BEFORE the engine spit its guts all over the road.

As for the 6 or 7 bolt question... If your on a budget and have electrical / mechanical skills and want the easy way out, Do the 6 Bolt. But If you want more of a Daily driver with more Low and midrange and have the skills, Go with a Properly built 7 bolt..
Just remember ALL engines can crank walk, Its just a matter of "Are you feeling lucky punk?" LOL

Body kit? Bro, Thats ALL up to you, Dont be swayed by the conservatives here. Build Your car around Your tastes. Not mine or anyone elses... If it doesnt make you smile when you see it, You wont maintain it like you should.... And DSM's need all the love and attention you can give them...
