1G Heater core brand

Hey y’all I’m in the middle of replacing the heater core in my 1g, and i ordered a four seasons off of rock auto, and chose it because it was the most popular brand bought. It does not fit well in the HVAC box, and does not allow the box to mount correctly to the fire wall. So my question is what brand heater cores do you guys use?

Thats the brand I bought and it fit and works for me. I think i did have to bend the one pile just a tad

Interesting. For me it doesn’t slide far enough down into the slot

My son is the lead mechanic at a local shop and he told me he actually PREFERS the four season brand and he hadn't had any issues. Just FYI

I’m a Honda master tech, and got super frustrated at the four seasons fitment. The original heater cores pipes laid flush with the box. The four seasons unit did not. It was like a half inch too high. Lmao i guess i am just used to OEM parts.

I ran advanced auto no problems for years.

I just ordered one yesterday! We shall see how it goes. When you did yours do you remember if the heater box went in smoothly?
