Recently threw a rod in my 4G63. Went out, got a new engine but I want to use the head off the blown one. All the valves are A-ok, no damage to the head what so ever.

Questions is, do I have to get the block and head machined to match, or can I just swap heads on the good block and call it a day?

Everything lined up to use a MLS gasket, but i just put a composite one on there. Looked like it was machined before the previous owner rebuild it. I checked to make sure there were proper seals on all 4 valves, and they seem to be fine. also, there was no sign of them connecting with the piston. there was loose carbon on the top that would have had a mark, and there was nothing on the valves themselves. So, i think i'm good to go!
