ok so im replacing my head gasket and was wondering if i should get a metal or an oem. i plan on running max of 26 psi, depends on if the 2600 will hold. I have a 6 bolt with arps.

so i have narrowed down my choice to the titan ics gasket with the built in orings or the oem. im wondering if i need to redeck the block for that particular head gasket. also can the stock head gasket take 26 psi? i have dsmlink to tune with and will be getting 950 injectors. so there wont be any knock.

Oem metal is fine for your application. Throw in some ARPS to button down the head and make sure to have a clean block surafce and have the head decked if needed.

Edit I see you have the ARPS already. :)

I agree I have a 4 layer metal head gasket from mitsu and it works fine and now that you already have arp's your set so go metal !!!! :thumb: :dsm: :thumb:

well here is the thing, its got a mitsu 4 layer, and im pretty sure that it is leaking between the layers so thats why i wanted to go with the titan because it has an oring in it.

Wel I have the 4 layer and I have no problems did you torque spec the bolts for the head to connect the block? sound stupid but some people dont know. if so maybe when you were putting it on the gasket got damaged it happen to me once and I had to get another one. Another thing wy did you changed your head gasket maybe your head is warped and if that was already amchined I have some bad news it might even be your block the is warped. Alot of possibilities.

the motor got built so thats why it was replaced in the first place, forged internals, so the block was decked about 10k miles ago. im guessing that he didnt use spray or he got a damaged one not sure, i bought the motor used from someone. it has 10k on it. i think im going to go with the titan
