I have an issue. I blew 4 ring lands on my 2g pistons (.020 bore) and they don't make a .030 2g piston, it jumps righ to .040. If I need to have my block bored to .040 over, what are my options for head gaskets? Does the oem MLS support .040 bore (86mm)? What about the composite?

most factory HG will take up to a .060 bore

the best thing to do is measure the ID bore of the HG and that will tell you ### the max bore is with that HG

as long as the gasket dosnt prrotrude into the cylinder bore you will be fine.

I would be more concerned with why you blew 4 ring lands, most of the time that happens from improper ring end gap, or a lean condition that caused the rings to over expand.

Boost controller malfunctioned, hit 30PSI, low mileage knock sensor did not work correctly. Ran out of injector and went lean as hell.

Who doesn't make a .030" over piston? I have them in cast and forged.

You have OEM (not NPR) 2g cast pistons in .030 over? I know the 1gs come in .010, .020, .030, .040 but DSM Graveyard says the 2g pistons only come stock, .020 and .040.
