Hello

Hoping someone could help with routing the harness on a 2g from the passenger side fender.

I believe this is the resistor and wiring for the injectors but all of the photos I’ve seen don’t show it coming from the passenger fender. I did buy the car as a shell and the harness separately which was supposedly from a 97 eagle talon tsi.

Second question I have is there seems to be two wire looms that are separated but look like they would be tucked together under the rad? Just wanted to make sure on this

Thank you

Looks like i got it all figured out. switched the holes from the passenger fender to the one in the engine bay
You beat me to it.. someone must have gotten them mixed up. Ironically the hole is the exact same.

Oh, and depending on the years can depend on where the wires are routed under the radiator area. On my 99 it was one single run under it tucked in behind the radiator, where as my 97 there are TWO looms. One behind and one along the bottom. I have some pics if you need.

Ya i have the double loom, if you have a photo to share that would be great. I have the electrical guides and such but it shows them in line. Appreciate that

It’s a body ground.

It’s in rough shape so you may want to open it up and replace it with a better option like a ring terminal. Here is location it mounts.

Appreciate that. Should I just skip the unit off, feed them all into one large ring terminal and go on bare metal? I saw more then one of these in the harness. May have to do the same thing.

There are tabs holding the thing closed, pop those back and that will give you access to more of the wire. Snip the terminal off and crimp on a new one. Easy Peasy.

Much appreciated. One last for you, I did the rewire of the fuel pump and I have two connectors at the tank other then the white one. Neither of these fit my harness. Car is a 95, I think the harness is from a 97 but do you know which plug is which other then the white one?

No worries. So there should indeed be three plugs. White is for the passenger side pump/level and I THINK the upper one in the pic (car side) is for the driver's side siphon/level. If your car was originally a gst and converted to a gsx i dont think you will have the lower plug in your harness, but there is a writeup on here about how to get it working. The third plug which may be the lower plug is for the ABS sensors.

That makes sense. White one not an issue, plugged that in, abs sensor i will most likely just cut as i got rid of the ABS in the car. The other plug or the drivers side wont it into the harness plug. Harness is from a 97 TSI and the fuel tank i have is a 95 TSI. Is there a chance they change the plug, it's very close to fitting but the plastic shielding around it wont let them connect.

if it's not an easy direct plug in then def do not force it, and I just went back and looked at how the plugs are on both my AWD models and there are only TWO plugs coming through the grommet. The split happens on the tank harness!

Thanks for the above. So the car is a 95 Talon TSi. The harness im using is from a 97 talon tsi. The original owner had left me the old part of the harness that clips into the gas tank two plugs and I just checked it and it connects no problem. I’ve attached a picture of the sending unit plug on the 97 and 95. 95 is on the left side and has less pins but the shape is very similar.
