Hanging 2g pistons on 1g rods

My 1g rods have already been completely reconditioned for 2g pistons. My machinist wants to know how to hang the piston on the rod. He was asking me if there was any bushings. I told him I was pretty sure they just get pressed in for this setup. I just wanted to check with you guys before he goes ahead and hangs them.

Your machinist is asking you how it's done? Anyway, the stock pistons are pressed onto the rod. The small end needs to be heated and the wrist pin will slide in. There's a video on youtube somewhere....

the wrist pin holes have been enlarged to 22mm for the 2g wrist pin?

from what I have seen on the board. that is all that needs to be done.

DSM Graveyard had a deal showing how they reamed them, they did not show any bushings..

from what I know, the only time a bronze bushing is used is for a full floating wrist pin, that is held in place with clips

Cut the machinist some slack.

First time I brought some stuff the machinist I currently use he just kind of looked at me dumbfounded when I said I need you to port and polish this head, he asked me where the other head was and I said its a 4 cyl. He looked really confused then.

Note that the large end does not get shaved if it's going to be put on a 6 bolt crank, only the small end. If it's going on a 7 bolt crank then the large end also needs to be shaved, just like the small end.
