Had to cut rubber line at the fuel feed line fitting, what replacement parts needed?

When changing out my fuel pump, found that I was rounding out the 19mm/14mm fitting on the fuel feed line at both fitting points, under the car and at the top of the pump, even while using flare wrenches. Said screw it, and cut the rubber line between the two fittings to get the pump out.

What parts will I need to repair the line? My friend suggested stainless steel line and fittings, I'm just not sure what size line (it's measured in -AN if I'm not mistaken) and fittings I'll need to replace the rubber fuel line between the two hard lines (from the pump itself to the rubber line, and from the rubber line to the hard line that eventually goes to the
rail).

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

good time to go to ss fuel lines!!! but to temperarley fix it you get a steel line that fits tout inbetween the two rubber lines and double clamp them on each side, I would suggest using t-bolt clamp type clamps fot that application.

just do a braided stainless steel line its not expensive and its well worth it

I'd like to do braided SS line, I'm just not sure how I'd go about doing it. So I'm guessing I'd buy -6AN line? I don't know what the -AN measurement means, but when I've been looking around most DSM parts vendor sites, the most common size used for fuel related work is -6AN...Also, which fittings would I have to buy in order to fasten the line to the two hard lines? And also, how does the SS line itself fasten to fittings? I'm sorry, I don't really know how it all goes together.

I know SBR and probably a few other vendors have braided fuel line from tank to filter already set-up. They're about 100 bucks i think, which doesn't sound like that bad a deal to me, Because i have no idea what i would need to get it all to work either.

Yeah, I was looking at that. If I can't figure out a simpler, more cost efficient solution, I'll probably go that route.

I would like to see a pic of it on a car though, because i wanna see where it connects, what fitting it replaces for sure, and how it routes. But i've never been able to find one.

I have just finnished about a month ago, a full ss line form the tank to the rail. I will post a new thread showing pics, but it will be a lil different due to fwd and awd tanks. So youll still get the picture very easy to do and makes a big difference. If you would like to know everything you need to get this done. I will be more then happy to send you a list of eveything i used.

I've seen that link before, but that's replacing all the fittings with AN fittings not flare fittings. Does the SBR kit use AN? I thought it was just a direct "bolt on" replacement for the stock feed like to the filter.
