So I'm setting up my fuel system with -8an feed lines. I need to T into the line in between the filter and the rail for my nitrous setup. My question is, will standard fuel line with a barb fitting and clamp hold. Even on the stock setup everything is bolted together until you get to the return side.

It will work, buts its not ideal in the engine bay from a safety stand point. Not sure something like that would even be track legal, but will hold. If you insist on doing it, I would take the hard edges off the barbs so it doesnt cut too much into the line if you over tighten the clamp.

A barb fitting will hold just fine. On a stock car, the supply line connects to the FPR nipple is held in place with a simple spring clamp from the factory. The key is to make sure you pair the correct size barb with the correct size line. So, make sure you match whatever line size you're using on the car with the correct size barb fitting.

If you're running much higher fuel pressures than factory, you may wan't to use AN fittings on the entire system. At stock-ish pressures, barb fittings and clamps will work fine when done properly.

Feed lines be can used with barb fittings like we stated said above. What do you think is being using to attach aftermarket fuel pumps to our sending units?

Will it be ideal for the OP? No. Based off my assumption of him doing a high hp build like his user name states, the use of -8an fuel line, and the plumbing of nitrous. I think its safe to say, it should be seeing much higher that stock like pressures. NHRA rules state a maximum of 12" of non braided aftermarket hose is allowed only with approved fittings. Standard barbs, standard fuel line with hose clamps are not allowed.

I agree. Even though not all of us will ever need to meet NHRA standards, building to satisfy them means you'll only ever need to do it one time, no matter what rule book you're going by. Good info.

My aftermarket fuel pump is INSIDE my fuel tank. I don't mind if it leaks in there. AN bung welded on top. AN connections all the way to fuel rail.

Here's what I'm imagining with hose barbs, gas, and nos.

NOS. :)

Alright, good info guys, I'll switch it up for the NOS setup. BTW, the line on the FPR which is held on with a standard clamp shouldn't have any pressure in it so that doesn't count. Regardless, I'll change things up and go with screwed down connections. My tee is -8an on all three sides anyway.
And doing it once is kind of the goal. Do it once and be done with it.
