The turbo manifold is funky for sure. We were trying to clear everything. It has great clearance. And all the head to manifold are accessible.

There is still a lot of clean up works before we hit the track. Roll cage is a must. A not stealth bomber paint job would be nice too.

skunk2 is known as junk2 ...Or it could be refereed to in this case , as knockoff skunk2/junk2

This IM business is confusing.

Is it a Honda IM, skunk2 or junk2, or knockoffcrap2, er what!?

I like the look of it. What's the dimensions?

Is it something that's better than a JMfab, buschur etc SMIC? Or is this just an upgrade better than any of the stock IM even the Evo3 manifolds?

Like a middle ground?

I am sure he has lots of porting work done to it ..We won't know until he posts more info on it ...They are shitty for low end mid they are decent 5-7k range i believe 7.1-10k they fall off..Those are on 1.6 1.8 honda engines ,..Al-tho most honda guys are to lazy to do any port work , and they have shitty tunning

Pretty decent numbers but I had expected to see them quite a bit higher honestly. I made 464 with a bolt-on 3076r (fp3052) that wasn't hta or gtx, just the standard 52lb/min cast wheel, 8.8:1 compression, stock port head and 2g intake manifold. That was at 25psi. I have since made 554whp @ 28psi with the same turbo, just did some changes to the head and intake manifold. I was hoping to break the 600 mark with a bump in compression to 10.5:1-11:1, different cams and a more aggressive tune. If that didn't do it, next step was going to be a gtx or hta billet wheel and twin scroll or Tial turbine housing swap with a nice manifold.
When you were on the dyno, did you ever push the boost up into the high 20's or low 30's? Any plans to? I'd really like to see what the results are at those boost levels.

From the looks of it, I'd say it's probably an Evo 3/RVR equivalent. Similar plenum size/shape along with similar runner length. But like mentioned, I'm sure there was some porting done to make the runners match the head. I know our 2g intake ports are small, but not 1.6/1.8 NA small!

I guess I should do a write up on this whole manifold madness. I call it a Junk2 because it is a fake Skunk2. It was 120 bux shipped new from Ebay. It has good aluminum. The transitions from the plenum to the runners not as good as the the
real Skunk2.

I got a real Skunk2 intake manifold that I will modify to work on my car. The Skunk2 intake has better casting inside than but it is not perfect. I even bought a an Edelbrock Victor X to modify it but I got burn because the guy sold me the one that go the the non-vtec head. The non-vtec got too small of a runner for me. I will start a thread on modding this manifold.

I just realized this is through an auto trans so I am not being fair comparing it to 5 speed numbers.

This car is an automatic car with a factory non locking converter. No matter what I did, it will not make peak torque at the usual 4000-5000rpm range. I think the converter can not transfer the power over to the input shaft fast enough or the line pressure is not high enough down low to fully lock up the clutch packs. You will see this on auto cars with small and big turbos. From what I read, the best you can transfer from the engine to the input shaft with a non locking converter is 90% of the engine power. Then the parasitic lost kick in some more inside the tranny. I went from making 600hp+ to around 500hp after switch to an auto. There is a member on here that is getting his car to not have so much lost but I don't know how he did it.

The pull is in third gear and the turbo seem it lag a bit. This turbo still build full boost around 5000rpm. Rolling at 3000rpm part throttle, it was building about 2-3psi. I did not do a 4th gear pull but I know that my 35r will reach full boost almost a 1000rpm faster in 4th than 3rd with an automatic.

The goal of this build is too have a power band that goes from 6000-8500rpm. The automatic transmission put you in this power band after every gear. This car is averaging around 470+hp from 6000-8000rpm so it will be a pretty fun at the track.

This GTX3076r can build 40psi+ on my friend GSX. He got a manual tranny and 40psi full boost is around 4300rpm with a FP turbine housing. This little bi*** is pricy but can boost.

I started a thread in the fabrication section. I just gasket matched and blend the runners on the intake manifold and welded onto certain parts of the flange to create a new surface. Check out the forth picture above. You can see that it is the original flange.

I don't have a pic of it but there is a threaded hole on the side of the intake manifold that you can mount the coil pack perfectly. Somebody just need to make this manifold for our engine with the matching flange already. I can not complain because for 150 bux and some sweat equities, this bi*** did pretty decent.
