currently running a precision 50 trim running about 24psi with meth injection BUT I know theres a better fit and I'm looking for opinions.. thanks

And if that would have been the first post, you would have started to get answers.

If you have a GSX, you won't have torque steer like the poor FWD folks have. So you'll stay in a straight line better than them.

You won't get very far asking about improvements in 1/4 mile times. It would vary from car to car.

Search for meth kits on here, there are lots of reviews.

with my old setup if i launched too high (like 5500), sometimes then with the old 300hp setup I would spin all 4. Keep in mind, this is on street tires with 12.5 pound roja lt5 wheels. I just never thought of tracking being a problem until right now.. thank god for the no torque steer though..

The GT3076R compressor wheel is rated for 52 lbs/min while the 50 trim is rated for 48 lbs/min. Both have seen flow numbers more than that, but you're really at the limits by then. Both turbos will easily get you in the 11's, but when you start talking about 550 whp then you're going to catch a lot of flack with either because of the bolt on housing.

Your goals will be easier to achieve on a more free flowing exhaust housing, as well as a larger compressor wheel.

The best advice I or anyone can give you is to go run the car and see how you do, and then we'll go from there.

no i was asking if a FPred or GT3076 turbo with certain mods I listed COULD make up a difference between a half a second or so compared to a 50 trim i already have.

This should have been asked in the original post then.

I would not put anything smaller than a gt35r on it. If you want to stay bolt on I would go with a PTE scm6152. If you want to go with a garrett setup(which I highly rcommend) I would go with a gt35r, PTE 61mm, or a PTE sc63.

so you mean a turbo with a completely different exhaust housing. Like a non mitsu flange ?

Are all those turbos going to be streetable or am i crossing over that fine line you think ?

If you are going to stay with that crappy old mitsu manifold I say go with a FP GT3582HTA or maybe even the FP FP88HTA but I dont know much about that turbo.

If you plan on going with a straight t3 or t4 mani I would go with a gt37r or maybe larger.

There are plenty of people running a 35r on the street. I'd say something of that size combined with the torque of the 2.4l would be awesome!

ok cool.. thats what i was thinking .. next step.. if i went with the gt3582r from extreme psi for instance.. what else needs to be changed besides the exhaust mani. And whats the cheapest mani I can get for it. I saw punishment racing has one for 190 i thought..
and what size injectors am i looking in the neighborhood for..I have an EMS so.

Exhaust manifold, oil lines, exhaust components (according to your profile you don't have an aftermarket exhaust), possibly a different wastegate (not sure on that or what you are currently running), intake pipe maybe. The other parts also depend if you go with the 4 bolt or v band setup. V band would obviously be the better choice, but would also be more money.

I would say get the largest injectors you can seeing as you can have them idle like stock.

If I've forgotten something or have something in there doesn't need replaced, feel free to correct me.

All of them will be streetable with your 2.4l to just about everybody on this site. They will all be streetable to me on a 2.0 and I plan on using the sc63 on my car.

My friend has an Evo IX with a Buschur 2.3 block and a gt35r on it. I am in love with the way his car feels on the street. There seems to be lees lag than my 50 trim on the 2.0. And his car starts pulling so hard down low because of the 2.3l it is amazing. If I had a 2.3 or 2.4 I wouldn't even think about putting anything smaller than a gt35r on my car after driving his.

i do have a full 3 inch turbo back .. sorry..im running a tial 38mm gate right now..
So having said that, just a exhaust mani ?
punishment-racing has one for 550.. good ?

Punishment does have a budget manifold that will work with a t3 turbine housing for $249 I believe. The other things you will need would include oil lines, water lines, o2 housing (or downpipe), intake pipe, and also a wastegate to match what flange the manifold has on it that you would choose to buy.

What ems do you have? If it is dsmlink or aem I would get at least 1150 cc injectors for it.

its an AEM EMS. I have my 38mm tial gate coming off my o2 can i still use that ?

I would get 1600cc injectors. With most of the manifolds I have seen you will need a different wastegate. I found a website that has adapter plates for them though. I will try to find the website and post the link if I do.
