Need options from those that actually know the answers please... I am wanting to run a water/meth injection system on my car.. the turbo I will have was told it is not safe to run more than 20psi with the internal lowerend that I have atm.

My question is this... as the water/meth cools the head and what not and provides good clean hp and torq... if I have my turbo set to 20psi and the system set to spray at 15psi would this still be safe??

Will it be safe up to 20psi or as the system is going to provide more boost would it be safe if it went over the 20?

You can run higher boost if you have enough fuel, right tuning, and if you head doesnt life due to stock head bolts. Then there is also the question of if your turbo will make any more power past 20psi. There are a ton of variables that go into this.

The turbo should produce over 20psi.. has run up to want to say 30-35 psi.. Fuel wont be an issue and also doing the tuning with ecmlink... Good catch on the head bolts though.. that never even crossed my mind.. any suggestions on those??

Honestly atm with the stock internals on the bottom end i dont want to run more tahn 25psi just want to make sure it would be safe with the stock pistons and rods with that kind of boost and injection system.. dont want to through a rod if i can help it ya know..

Letting us know what turbo you have would be a huge advance in this predicament.

The reason I'm saying is because a smaller turbo won't behave the same way a larger turbo will, even at the same boost level. You say the turbo has possibly seen upwards of ~30psi. You can have your boost controller set at x amount of boost, and have your injection set at a lower amount of boost. Most controllers for meth/water injection have a pulse adjustment to where you can have so much injection at a time, i.e. if you want 25% pulse at 15psi, then 100% at 30psi. Just throwing random numbers out there, but it's just to give you an idea.

I could be wrong.. like i said I should be getting this turbo.. but from what I was told its going to be a hx35 or hx40 one of those..

Almost 100% its a hx35 and yes the 30-35 i beleive was on e85 witch i wont be running...

What turbo are you running, just cause it can make that pressure doesnt mean it will make any more power. A 16G can do 31psi of boost, but after 25 it stops making power. As for head bolts, switch em out for ARP's
