GST Spyder Rotor \ Caliper Upgrade Recomendations Please!

Well... I've been browsing the forums and EBay and amazon and I don't feel like I have a good feeling on what to do to upgrade my brakes. I'm looking for slotted brakes, calipers and hoses that will be mainly used for daily driving with the occasional high speed windy roads.

There are a lot of kits but no reviews and I know this forum has some fantastic people on it to give truthful reviews. Thanks for any info! Oh, I'm not trying to get a brembo kit... No track days for this car. =]

You could upgrade to gsx big brakes or get wilwood kit Eclipse - Kits
For your needs I recommend the plus 2 factory kit

I saw these kits... They are pretty awesome but I'm not sure I'm ready to drop the $2k into breaks. $500 budget is more in line with what in looking at.

The kit I mentioned is 700-800 going to have give them a call to find out for sure since its not on the site.

I'd look at the Outlander brackets and rotors with stock 2 piston calipers as a nice bang for the buck upgrade that'll clear most wheels, or a set of EVO Brembos as the next step up.

You could upgrade your front calipers to gsx calipers and get porterfield pads and some rotors. Haven't really looked to much into rotors but I'm sure they arnt cheap

I'd love to stay with my stock chrome rims. They have grown on me. =] once offer off my mobile, ill get into some more research. Thank you!

No, those look like stock single piston size. More info here:

You can get the brackets and rotors from a vendor like JNZ. Give them a call and talk to Paul, he can get you everything you'll need.

They use the same calipers and pads as the stock GSX dual piston brakes, you can source the calipers used pretty easily or get some reman's.

They're about the most brake you'd be able to fit under the stock 16" wheels.

I run the gsx calipers with a ol aem big brake kit ( now made by powerslot) works great on the back roads

Everybody having success at getting these "outlander" brackets? They seem to be in short supply new (typically on back order).

I am considering these for my GST Spyder too, but have not looked used. They do come on the Lancer Ralliart and the sportback versions as well.

+1 for the gsx front calipers, they made a huge difference on my gst. I didn't know you could fit the outlander brakes behind the gst 16s tho, anyone done that?
