New timingbelt replaced by local tech, car slammed in gear from park to drive, immediately after getting in. Got home ordered new mounts figured that was the solution. Are you insinuating it didn't do this before the timing belt install?

I only see three forum threads, but you have four mounts. :p

The front and rear mounts stop roll. Did you check the rear to see that it's not split? It's not a thick mount in terms of rubber. Also, have you validated you have a bolt in the rear mount still?

yes, there is a bolt in it
if the other 3 mounts are new would the rear not being new cause that much flex?

No it didnt, but timing belt change would have nothing to do with this that I know of. This shit was easy to fix when I was young, but this is my 1st 2g and 1st automatic. Been driving and maintaining a 1g since 1992. Do autos torque this bad from weight of transmission? I'm defeated, i spent over 8 hrs yesterday trying to get to the back mount, took tray and piping out even. I can't find anyone locally that will work on it closest guy is 22 miles away and he gets so much business that you literally have to wait in line. I cringe at taking it to a place like midas or tires plus for something I used to do, let alone the amount they will charge. What is the trick to the rear? Any help would be appreciated, im sure this dude is sick of my questions about it which is why I posted on here.

Depends on if there's anything left. The left and right mounts do not support the torquing motion of the motor very well u less they're solid aluminium. It's similar to what happens to your motor when you remove or pull the bolt on the timing belt side motor *mount. Everything sags an inch or more even though it still has three connected. They work in concert.

It's not easy to get to that rear one, especially with a motor in the way. But all four in good condition, even stock rubber, should not allow the motor to move that much, that's why I'm thinking the rear one is toast.

If you can grab the rear engine mount (the block side), can you move the whole engine up and down back there? How much play does it have
