hello im not new to the dsms but a newb on this site on my 5th. but i currently put a gsx motor in my gst changed the flywheels out and put a xto stage three clutch in it. the problem i am having is a griding noise when im accelerating the more rpms the more noise could it be the new clutch or is there something else going on because of the gsx swap. its not too bad will it wear in and go away :|:|

Did you put enough gear oil back into the trans?, also it could be the dust plat that is by the brake caliper sometimes they bend toward the rotor when putting the axel's back in and may cause that grinding noise. I would say check all the little things before ripping the trans out if you don't need to:thumb:

yes its constant while im accelerating, it has no noise on deceleration i can kinda feel it in the pedals and yes i filled the tranny up with gear oil i thought that could have been it but no. it has no effect on how the car runs. but im looking at the long term effects and what could happen if i didnt get this fixed now and yes if im accelerating and push the clutch goes away no noise at idle or ne thing like that

It could also be alot more since you have aftermarket clutch and flywheel, when you take the trans off check to make shure no bolts backed there way out on the crank and the clutch plate, just double check everything just sounds like taking your trans out is your best bet on finding out the problem

damn that sux i do not want to pull the tranny again and what is all diff between the gsx and gst motors besides the flywheel. your right though thats exactly what i was thinking i just didnt want to admit it to my self ha

yha thats what i thought well i guess im going to pull the tranny again the first time i had to was because i didn't no the flywheels were diff . the starter wouldn't hit the fly wheel so i had to pull the tranny after the swap was done and swap flywheels now i have to pull it again and see whats going on but hopefully that throw out bearing is the prob well thanks for yalls imputs
