Greddy timing belt

I bought 97 gst it has 160,000 miles so i think it's time to change the belt i notice greddy has there own line of timing belts the but the only one I've seen is for the evo 4g63 is that compatible with 4g63 ? Or would i be better off just buying the factory belt?

Greddy does have a specific timing belt & balance shaft belt for your car-however-I wouldn't spend double the price for a part that has to be changed in the same time interval. The factory Mitsubishi timing belts have been proven to last time and time again, stick with them. To further assist in reliability, you may want to consider removing your blance shafts. Removing them will remedy the issue of having to install and deal with a balance shaft belt, which has been known to snap and tangle itself into the timing belt, causing catastrophic damages. Also, on the plus side, removing the blance shafts will almost double your oil pressure and give you a few ponies! For my first timing belt swap, I went with factory parts from www.slowboyracing.com and purchased & installed their balance shaft eliminator kit. I recommend you stick with stock.
