Anyone have any links or have any instructions they can tell me, or send me to describe the actual procedure of how to install a 24V Greddy FMIC kit for a 96 GST

thks

its not all that hard, the hardest part is pulling the stock bumper off. Here is a write up from the techarticals above to help you, the picutres have been removed, but it gives you and idea (just follow the instructions for the front bumper obviously). http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=55243

As for the rest of the install its pretty simple with the instrucitons. Just make sure the clamps are tight or the first time you hit boost they can pop off. trim the bumper slowly, it takes time but the more patiance you have, the better it will look. Also pay close attention to the location of the upper and lower pipe in the fender well. I have seen 3 people switch them. It lines up a bit, but the pipes will cross. This is not what you want. Be sure to hook up any elctrical connectors you had to diconnect (IE the airflow sensor) seen people forget that a few times. Good luck with the new FMIC install, I promise you will not be dissapointed.

Does the I/C kit not come with installation instructions?? Or is it the fact that your a 2Ga that you're worried about?? Do you have a good shop manual or something like a Chilton's??/ They should have instructions on how to take off the front bumper and how to un-install the stock SMIC (known as the charge air cooler in the Chilton's)...Try figuring it out by yourself and if you start having problems, just post some pics of what you need to do next and the people here should be able to help you out. :thumb:

I dunno how much different the front bumpers are from the GST to the GS, (presumably the same) mine is a GS and I made the Greddy 24V work. I wanted to keep the bumper support on, but so many people see no need for it, but I would rather have that impact something first if anything were to happen. So I had to get that cut out. The 24V is almost too big... on mine you could only see the lower part of the ic, but its so beefy and intimadating. :thumb:

I'm sorry I couldnt be of help. Have you searched around for some info? Not on here, but google it, you might come up with some useful info. Good luck to you! :thumb:

The bumper support can be hacked pretty good if you still want to use it, however it is cut so much I doubt it will do anyhting, yet on a 95-96 with the smiley front end, the bumper covers the are where the support sits. On 97-99 you can cut a bit of the plastic decoritive piece along the top the cover the support and just get rid of it to allow more airlow in. (IE like the one in my pic.)
