Eclipse/Talon 95-99 GRED 12030000 18R (Rspec)

Eclipse/Talon 95-99 GRED 12030001 280x600x76mm (24 Rspec )

What is the difference between the 18R and the 24R?

One is $815 and the other is $900.

Anyone have some Greddy 24 FMIC Install instructions for the 95-99 gsx? I got my FMIC with upper / lower IC pipes but no install instructions... if anyone has these or a link to these please let me know.... thanks really in need of them.

There is really only one way to get the piping through. THe only instructions you need is for the moving of the hard line to the other side of the middle support. It is pretty self explanitory.

FYI: I had to cut a pretty good bit off of the bumper aswell.

How ami supposed to mount the FMIC to the car? i see kinda where i can mount iton the bottom but doi need to make a bracket for the top? seen the pics but looks like he has some sort of bracket.

ohhhhh HUSH ! hehe
i NOOOOOOOOOO its crooked :(
the fogs wasnt the issue tho' the mounting tab on the fmic were a lil off and i didnt feel like cutting them off and moving them over 1/4" ( or elongating the holes ) (shame)

Got the FMIC in finally after some long hours LOL but the way i had to mount the FMIC made it to where my frong bumper is a tad bit off.... a little stretched... you have to cut off some of the poly eurothane off your front bumper correct for it to fit right?

The reason I couldn't keep my fog lights is because I had to compensate. For some reason one of my bracket mounting points on the bottom of the FMIC had a spot weld over the hole. So I had to use one of the headlight "gasket" seperators to make a makeshift bracket over to the foglight hole. Thus, I couldn't keep them:( I loved how they looked on the 2G too, shame I couldn't keep them.

Thanks!. Looks like I didnt get that piece. Guess ill have to make my own, cant expect to have everything for a full intercooler kit for 300.. Also on the top bracket? Does the elongated hole go on the radiator support bolt or on the intercooler bolt?

Thanks again

So what's evreyone's thought's on the Greddy 24V FMIC? I've searched and haven't really found the answer. I have a chance to buy one. I know there are better FMIC's out there. But I'm asking specifically about the Greddy 24V FMIC. How's the quality, build, etc.
I could wait 8 or more weeks for the newly redesigned Apexi FMIC, but the price could be higher and the wait could be longer then 8 weeks.
Oh can I keep my foglights with the Greddy 24V FMIC?

Quality and if it get's the job done is what I need. Thanks!
Also, will I need anything else to hook the 24V Greddy FMIC up to my car? I have the Dejon Tool UICP. Will the Greddy kit connect right up to those pipes? Also, do I need to get the Dejon Tool lower S pipe? Or does that come with the FMIC kit?

well this might sound simple to you all but it made got past me. im trying to put on a greddy fmic (the bigger one) and im stopped right at the front bumper. the install instructions that came w/ the kit are a joke. i took off the 2 fender screws that hold the bumper to the top.and i took the screws off right when you pop the hood and theyre by the radiator. im hearing that after this point i just pull up and its all good. can someone help me out on this? how do i get the damn bumper off and do i have to remove the headlight assembly while im at it? thanks

there are 2 10mm head bolts ( 4 total ) at either end of the bumper. two are accessed behind either wheel well splash shield and two are accessed behind the front bumper marker lights. there are 5 10mm head bolts across the top where the hood and bumper cover meet. and from underneath the car there 2 14mm head bolts ( 4 total ) at either frame rail at either side of the radiator ( these hold the actual bumper support in and are located underneath the rail ). and last but not least you have to remove the clips attaching radiator air dam to bumper cover. i believe there are 4 underneath and 4 through the bumper cover front opening ( these should be black and remove using a Phillips style screw driver and/or stubby )
this way the bumper and bumper support are removed together as one unit.

hope this helps

yeah i found all the bolts the hard way. just got back from the install. in addition to it taking the better part of the day i came out with a few complications. the bov flange i was using before to bolt it on the stock uicp used bolts that were too big too fit on the greddy piping (i installed the uicp with the front mount). i did what any man in desperation would do, i zip tied the bov to the pipe. my tach read like a calendar on the way back and i managed to pass 2 cars total on the way back. 1 was dead on the side of the road and the other i passed in neutral downhill. also in addition to the bov being ziptied so is the bumper. tomorrow i gotta go trim a few things. i was under the impression that 97-99 eclipses didnt need anything trimmed. am i doing something wrong or do they really do have to be trimmed. if trimmed exactly which parts and does anyone know how much? pics would be great but a description on whats next would really make life better tomorrow. thanks ahead of time

some small trimming needs to be done at the opening to clear the intercooler itself. approx. 1-1.25 inches on either end and .50-.75 in the center. mostly you want to square up the opening and remove the radius it has on the now intercooler side. no other trimming should be necessary.

just make it work, i installed my 24r with no instructions and no bracket, i had to make my own shit and everything turned out good. u gotta cut the bumper up real good tho :thumb:
