i got 2,000 bucks.....my 1.8 is pretty much trashed... so i was thinking of a rebuild or even a swap.. can i stick in a 2.0?? maybe aven a turbo?? it would be nice to go fast...i was going to re-build the 1.8 and just turbo that..well any suggestiions or ides?

Invest in your future after highschool?? maybe college

In regards to your question though there was a guy that turboed his 1.8 but its probaly not worth it because seems like a pain on a engine that wasn't made for boost. Doing a very uncommon idea usually invloves lots of fabricating and hard lessons learned on your part.
Wait a minute, I just found the "unfindable link" here it is
That details the 1.8 turbo conversion and what it took.

Quite a few people have swapped in a 2.0 though im not sure of what it all entails. All the wiring is different and ECU may be incampatible too, I found this link though searching which gives you more info then i feel like typing . There are plenty more though1.8 to 2.0 swap

If I were you, I would put that money in the bank for school, I spent a lot of my graduation money on useless crap after i graduated and later wished I had that money for beer. ;)

If you're not going off to college then I would probably just do what 1993eclipseGS said.
