Bought this as a used set at a pretty good price. Ride quality is surprisingly not so bad but I've yet to encounter a serious pothole. I love how it looks. This is not my daily so I don't care so much about the practicality of it.

This is a 60% looks 40% performance build. In terms of performance, if it doesn't shave more than half a second from my 0-100, I'm ok.

Gonna be a no from me, dawg. All of that extra rotating and unsprung weight is going to murder every aspect of performance you can think of, including gas mileage.
 
I think they look nice! for me the ultimate wheel for the Dsm would be the Evo 8 Enkies though, there is just something about them that is simple yet elegant.
 
They look respectable, 10 years ago they would have looked awful but when every factory car now comes with 20s they don't look of place.

I agree with others about rim wrecking, one cigarette butt and those will be broke, you must get a larger profile.
 
You should see Downtown Athens, its not fun to drive on or even right a motorcycle on.

The salt used up north however just wreck roads. Ohio is also really bad about road quality.

The wheels dont look bad, but it also looks kind of toy like. I never liked anything bigger than at most an 18 and rather have a 16-17 inch rim. My opinion is that if its looks you shouldnt care what others think, if you are asking in terms of ride and performance then take other peoples knowledge seriously as long as its explained well and makes sense.
 
I decided to keep them for now. I had 17s prior to this set but the tire diameter is actually almost unchanged because of the skinny tires. If there's a difference in acceleration, it's not very noticeable. But there's a noticeable difference in steering sensitivity. It feels a bit sharper now. This is a car that I use once in a while so i'm not so worried about drivability issues. I mostly drive it around my area and the roads here are relatively decent. But i'll keep my 17s around in case i need to go on a long road trip where there's a good chance of encountering potholes

After getting used to seeing the wheels on the car, it's hard to go back to anything smaller,especially my old 17s.

I love how those 20s fill the wheelwell compared to your 17s. If you dropped the car an inch or so it would look way better, in my opinion. Like others have said, low pro tires give next to zero protection to the wheel and handle like garbage in snow/gravel.

Other than that, they don't look bad! It's your car so if you're comfortable with the cons, do what you want. Obviously listen to all the good advice from the veterans on here, but it's your time and money so build the car to please yourself not others.

Would be concerned with acceleration & braking / probably much heavier than stock & factory brakes aren't super great /
plus makes brakes look super small
 
I faced the same choice last week whether to use 18in or 20in rims in my build. I decided to go with 18in for reasons mentioned above. It sure looks good though. :)
