Great this is just what I was looking for thanks

Tuning Tip: Red is a good color for all around performance, however with a big turbo blue gets upwards of 10 hp, unless you have stock cams, then only 5 hp. Silver is best for bottom end power, mix with red for excellent mid-range. For NT cars, shift all recommendations one hue towards a warmer color. Yellow hose should only be used on high compression NTs or turbo cars with welded differentials. Proper Sticker Tuning can be a successful work around for any of these concerns

This Is off that site.

Does the color really make a difference?

im gonna guess the color difference is probably the density of the lines. different color for different pressures. thats why they put that tip in there. so for the normal turbo cars, red would suffice. if you start breaking a good amount of power and such, you would change colors. thats just what im getting from it. i would just buy red if your not really pushing too much.

I really didnt want red, I wanted silver but if it really makes a difference ill go red. Then why not just go blue I plan on more hp later just dont have the money now.
OH! Let me try one... They stopped selling the orange hose kits because they caused crankwalk!
They are being sarcastic about the colors, this is classic and I'm headed to RRE tomorrow to go up on the dyno. I'm going to show them this thread and they are going to die ROFL.

The color blue will gain you 10hp cause of the microscope compound that is used to make the color blue.
Quantum physics show that the color blue has an emission spectrum of Cu2+ which means it gives more power to the wheels.

^ Beat me to it! Yes, RRE has a warped sense of humor, one of their better qualities if you ask me. There is absolutely no difference in the thickness of the silicone hoses, just the color of pigment used. They're making fun of people that pull perfectly good hoses off and replace them with colored ones thinking that silicone hoses will boost their performance. There's nothing wrong with dressing up your engine bay if you have to replace them anyway due to dry rot but keep in mind that bright yellow hoses in a filthy, nasty engine bay look worse than black...

Actually it's the owners knuckle juice on the engine that adds the 10HP. The red hose kit color coordinates and gets the credit but the real power adder is the knuckle juice.

If you don't believe me then just do a poll on DSM HP and the correlation of the owners getting the red goodness of knuckle juice all over the engine bay.

And the subsequent removal of the damned cruise control bracket on the passenger side strut mount that causes 75% of knuckle juice leakage.

This is the kit I bought off of E-bay in Blue & it's very good quality.

So the color does not matter is what I gather from all of this. Then why would they put that crap on their website, definetly a twisted sense of humor. I'm just replacing them because half of them are dry rotted and just figured I'd go ahead and replace the other ones before they had the same issue and to dress then engine bay up a little.

why on earth would you pay 106.95 for vacuum lines their flipin hoses man :notgood:

WoW, those are some pricey hose's I spent 7 bucks for 8 feet of hose's, did the vacuum emission hose delete and replaced all that was left. Still got enough left over hose to replace all the hose's again if I get bored.
