This has me stumped. I am tuning my 90 TSI Talon and I am going rich - 10.8 then progressively down to 9.8 above 6500 rpms and noticeable in 3rd mostly. I am wondering if maybe my exhaust is just plugging up the system and not allowing the flow I should be getting. I am boosting around 18 psi and no knock present at any rpm. BLT is ok, but my compressor is on the fritz and I can't test above 18 right know. What I am wondering is if maybe my 3" with a muffler on the back is just plugging up the works. Should I unbolt the mid pipe and run without the muffler and see what happens to flow and a/f? The flow just seems to drop off right around 6500 in 3rd gear and my tuner (My1gdsm) is wondering what is happening to the flow also. Any tips tricks or pointers are greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone!!!

Are you saying this is what is happening on stock open loop map or even after having it tune? (shooting for higher than stock 9.8)

Yes we are tuning with the services of My1GDSM. I can see it on my logs and feel it in the car. Its not pulling timing but looks like I am running out of air flow. I am going to uncork the exhaust tomorrow (busy with laundry tonite) and see what happens, but it was running pretty decent and now it seem like it runs great to 6500, then the rich condition comes in between 6500-7000. In 500 rpms it goes from 10.8 to 9.8 and seems like that is what is hampering it....but...I'm digging for some possible answers. It seems to pull right up to 7000 when im in 2nd (lighter load) so I was trying to think outside the box and wondered if I wasn't getting all the pressure out of the exhaust pipe so more could enter. Thanks for chiming in. I'm all ears. :thumb:

Yes, my tester is going to be reworked this weekend. For some reason the shrader valve in it is hanging up, not my compressor, so thats on my weekend list. I've went through just about everything else. I'm gonna look at the plugs, which were new, but something I want to see and check gap on. It shouldn't fall off like it is. Sorry Stacy, I've been so busy that the car has been on the bottom of the "to do list" this week. I'm starting to get the burned out working on car feeling but am trying to fit time in for her. I'm so frustrated with constantly working to get no where that I am thinking of taking up the offer to sell the car. I appreciate the advice tho. Thanks for everything!!

Will do Vic, my BLT is working ok but my stupid inflator is a POS. Matt lost my good inflator so he finally bought me another one but it won't flow for whatever reason. I'm gonna have to get another one....I can hold my finger over this one and hold the pressure but the compressor has 110 lbs in it, just can't get it to flow any amount of air out....kinda like the poor little car. I am pretty depressed about the work gone into it and not a end in sight to be able to just drive it. Like your new picture!!!

Thanks don't get depressed I know its a pita but look at my record with these things still hanging hard. I here to help man.
