gm maf, old link, what do i need?

Hey, so today I got a gm maf for free and was wondering what all I need to use it. I have link v2 with v3 software so I imagine that may set me back..I found some old posts but their really old so figured id ask to see if the new software supports it even though I have the old version. Thanks!

You either need a MAFT or to upgrade your v2 to v3 so link can natively support the GM MAF. You can get one of ECMTuning GM MAF cables and you'd be ready to go. Just pick where you want to install it.

Figures , things couldnt be bolt on easy right. Well I've been slacking on upgrading link so this is probably a decent time to get that done..so you need their cable also, no diy jumpers for this one or is that just recommended? Thanks for the help

No, he just posted quickly/incompletely and agreed with me.

You can read about the GM MAF cable here, which shows you'll need v3 full to have native support.

Get V3, the GM MAF cable and put the GM MAF in draw thru! It works great!!! I love mine and I used to hate it in blow thru with the MAFT!!!
