gm-maf with dsm link

Ive searched and searched for this, and would like to find out information of the possiblity of using a 3" gm-maf with a dsm link, or do I need to get a maf-t with the gm-maf??

I'm not absolutely certain, but it's my assumption that you would need the translator. I believe that dsmlink still requires a karmaan-vortex style signal and the gm maf is a hotwire style. Someone else should be able to say for certain, though.

There's been talk of making DSMLink so that you don't need the translator, but as of now you do still need one.

If not able to be done is there a cheaper alternative to a blow through set up? or is there a way to compensate for venting to the atomsphere such as a s-afc, casue i read in an old subcompact car mag that they were compensating for the hks ssqv bov by using a s-afc.But along those lines that is my plan i want to vent, but at the same time i want to gain tunablility with my car, therfore wasting 250 on a maf-t set up when i want dsmlink or an aem would be retarted thanks for your help.

AFC cannot compensate for venting. Only a standalone such as the AEM or a blow-through GM MAF-T will do that.

No, you still need the translator. DSMLink has no provisions for reading a GM MAF. Its still looking for the Karmann Vortex signal. You base tune the MAFT and then do all the rest of the fine tuning with DSMLink, or just zero out the MAFT and do all your tuning with DSMLink.

Alright so with the maf-t can you tune an aftermarket fuel system? by fuel system i mean new pump and injectors

You can tune with the maft with in 2%.
