So I put in my 3" GM MAF in a blow through set up. I understand that all 4 switches on the translator will be down, or off. I have two questions I can't find answers to:

1: DSM Link will be used for making fuel adjustments, so i leave all the knobs on the translator at zero, right?

2: Since I won't need the translator for nitrous, I don't have any and even if i did DSM Link to the rescue again, I dont need to adjust the AUX knob, but do I need to even attatch the white RPM signal wire?

thanks in advance.

you dont have to adjust the aux setting or hook up the wire.. you also dont need to hook up the rpm wire if you dont want to

Thanks for the help. So basically the translator is just translating the signal, and all the trims will be adjusted by DSM Link. Kind of a waste, but hey, what are you gonna do?

The 2nd knob that is for the injectors needs to be on 2 so that way its set for stock 450's. The other knobs will be on 0. Good Luck

Hey thanks. I'm very anxious to hear my new engine start up. Hopefully after a few tries and some fine tunes it will idle for me...

Anyone else's 2G MAF Translator connector not really 'click' into the stock connector for the MAF? It goes in but doesn't snap in and lock. I'm wondering if I'm going to have to cut and splice here....

just use zip ties to hold it in place, thats what fullthrottle speed told me to do on my 1g

Yeah, as much as it sucks, it doesn't click in. Also, REMEMBER, you don't actually zero out the knobs. You set them as it says in the instructions for 450cc injectors (stock injectors) and then leave everything else at zero. Just make sure that if you are using aftermarket injectors, you make the necessary adjustments in DSMLink.

yes. make sure the translator is set for stock injectors. that does not mean every nob at 0. im not sure what each nob gets set at but i kno theyre all not 0. then thats it, everything else is adjusted via dsmlink
