Ok I am wanting to vent to the atmosphere on my 2g GSX with my greddy RS.. (Please do not flame me) Here is what I understand by reading the FAQ's and other threads.. You'll easily run too rich because our dsms are recirc'd stock.. So here's my question, If i get dsm link and I install the greddy RS BOV can I tune it and Idle just fine and not be too rich when I shift, or do I also have to go through the whole Maft crap too??

I run DSMLINK w/ GM MAF-T in blow through, works slick! :)

Check out this page to get your LTFT's set properly with GM MAF-T + DSMLINK

Check out this page to get your GM MAF-T calibrated (wot)

After you get those done, DSMLINK + GM-MAFT will work great and you will have the nice "feature" to vent
Glad to have helped some of you out. That was the reason why I wrote the page in the first place.

Well thanks for the links. I'm sure they'll be helpful when I get dsmlink. (hoping sometime within this month or the next at the latest.) Oh, and I'll have to post my pics of my MAFT/Blow through set up.. I ended up using my stock intake pipe and "blocking" off my recirc hole..

I say wait for V3 of DSMLINK which will have speed density incorporated into it and so no one will need the MAF-T.

I would have to disagree with this. They thought V3 would be released last summer, then it was pushed back to last fall, then to the winter...see the pattern? This upgrade is HUGE and is taking A LOT of work. There is a good bit done, but they still have a decent amount of work left. I would say to get it now and get used to using it and then just get the upgrade when V3 comes out. I was in that same position (get it now or wait) but after talking with Tom at ECM Tuning, I decided to get it now since it was still going to be the better part of a year or more until it came out. Plus, you should have a logger to see what's going on with the car :rocks:

Eh I was going to get the dsmlink ASAP actually.. The only thing holding me back is a laptop =/ .. Any good ideas WHERE to get a decent deal on one? Ebays so so on those..

Ebay is a good place for laptops, go to the dsmlink website and look at the min. specs to run the program are. It's not a lot; you can find old beat up laptops for dirty cheap.

Good choice in getting it ASAP - you won't be disappointed! :rocks:

I'd say eBay or the classifieds on here or on dsmsource. Maybe local classifieds or cragislist too.
