heys guys!!
So straight to the point, I got 3" gm maf for free and since a have link i thought giving it a try, i bought the GM MAF cable from their site as well so now i need some advise. On ecmtuning i read this...
"NOTE 1: We absolutely must make mention of the fact that GM MAF outputs WILL vary from car to car. Most variations should be minor and easily corrected. However, it's not at ALL unusual to see a GM MAF installation require up to 30 or 40% adjustment from our base configuration! It's simply the way the GM MAF works. If you vary the size of the piping around the GM MAF, its output is going to vary accordingly.

Our test platform used a 2.5” IC pipe with flared ends to 3” just before/after the GM MAF install point which was about 6 to 8 linear inches from the throttle body. If your setup varies from this, you can probably expect variations in GM MAF output from the base values we provide in ECMLink."

So what their base configuration is and how dsmlink knows that there is a gm maf since there is no option on dsmllink to add the 3"gm maf anymore? how am i supposed to tune? WTF
Sorry for the noob question but i don't want to turn on the car and run super lean or something because of the time the ecu thinks the air takes to travel from the intake to the mani. Correct me if i'm wrong.

These sensors are finicky. As mentioned above, make sure you have it selected in the pull down menu. That'll get you started. You will probably find that you'll need to make additional adjustments as the sensors to vary.

I had to manually calibrate the GM MAF on my car for anything above 5000rpm, or it would cut out. If you find that your BoostEST and actual Boost pressure are off, then you'll have to do this as well so that the computer doesn't think it's seeing all sorts of pressure when it really is not. This is an awesome link for calibration:

Holly crap guys you don't sleep LOL...
Well thank for the info but my main problem right now is that the gm won't appear in the MAFComp table it just doesn't. It only shows stock, 3G/EVO MAF, and SD and I read a while ago on ecmtuning forum that that option wasn't available anymore on dsmlink V3 and I just have to leave it as stock on the MAFComp table. What version of link you guys have?

3.24.70

Are you on V3 full, or Lite?

Shit man I feel so stupid right now I just contact Thomas from ECMtuning and he said that gmmaf is supported by v3 full only :| y have lite I was tight on budget when I first bought it (a year ago) well I guess I'll have to upgrade hope I don't run into more trouble after the upgrade. Thank for the help tho.
