I know this isn't really a n00b question per se', but I am only allowed to post here. Onward, I am the new owner of a 1991 Galant GSX awd, n/t with an auto trans. I've been hunting for a while for this and was happy to have finally acquired it. I am assembling a turbo motor for it while I collect all of the other misc parts (5-lug swap, suspension, etc).
One thing that has me concerned is the stock auto transmission. There appears to be a lack of authoritative threads on just how much awhp this thing can safely/reliably handle. I've searched everywhere for info on the W4a321 trans, even google, all to no avail.
I am specifically looking for the following:
1. Actual whp threshold
2. Shift kit and end clutch pack upgrades
3. Plug and play, direct fit dsm alternative(s), model year.
I know I could just email John at IPT directly, but that doesn't benefit the community, and I have benefited greatly from the information here in the past.
Thank in advance for any help and info
