Getting to rear o2 sensor harness/connector

I know the connector for the rear o2 sensor is under the driver's seat, but how hard is it to get to? I can take the door molding off and the trunk/gas release off, but is the connector to the rear o2 sensor even close to the front of the seat, or should I be going toward the back? Which side of the seat is it on? Any help with the exact location of the connector would be great!

slide the seat all the way forward and reach in under the back. its basicly in the center under the carpet

The thin black cable ~1/4" in diameter? I would hate to cut it (or strip the insulation off) and find it to be the trunk release or something like that (even though the trunk release runs right along the floorboard - it could be something else

Keep in mind my son has a 1998 GST, but I found the connector under the carpet of the driver's front seat, next to the center console, near the front right stud that secures the seat. Remove the seat. It will make it much easier.
