I was driving around today trying to put some miles on the new clutch. The car was running great until I got off the ramp and it just died and wouldnt start back up. AAA came and gave me a tow and I started looking it over. It has fuel and fire and the pump is working but its just dumping gas into the #4 cylinder. It will just crank until you unplug the fuel pump and it will start up and run like crap, then when you plug the fuel pump back in it doesnt clear out and wont stay running if you let off the gas. If I take the plug out and crank it it looks like a geyser spewing gas out of the head. I have no idea whats going on please help.

Switched ECU from my other car, getting plenty of fire, changed entire fuel rail including injectors from my other car. Voltage is fine according to my datalogger. When you unplug the fuel pump and start the car it sounds great until it runs out of gas of course, then when its plugged back in it just craps out. Changing the pump sounds logical so ill try that but I dunno, ill update if I figure out anything.

Check the "ground" wire for that injector. Injectors are ground controlled, so if it is shorted to ground the injector would always be on.

Before we jump to any conclusions lets see if we can find out what is wrong.

First lets see if the injectors are working. To do this pull the plugs on all your cylinders and make sure the plug wires are clear of items. Turn the car over and make sure which injectors are working correctly and which are malfunctioning.

If only #4 is spewing fuel try pulling off the plug on that one injector and swapping it with the clip off the #3 injector if the problem moved cylinders you have a problem with the electrical. If the problem did not move you have a bad injector.

Do this and get back to us with the results. Once we have the problem figured out a little we can help more.

If you have an electrical problem check all wires for continuity first...then check the ecu as stated above.

The fuel solenoid for my nitrous got some crap in it and got stuck open so it was just spewing gas into the nozzle down into the intake. Yeah I feel like an ass :| . Im definately getting some inline filters for the fuel and nitrous, if the nitrous solenoid were to get stuck open that would be bad news. I really appreciate everyones help.
