Hey guys, quick question. The car is finally done and after 2 days of driving, the alternator is bad. I just checked the alternator fuse and its good and the battery terminals look good to. Since I'm going to get a new alternator, I might as well go with the 90 amp Galant alternator. MY question is which one fits a 2g with a 6 bolt swap. The 1997+ Galant alternator, I think, fit the 2g but I don't know about the 6 bolt. Thanks in advance.

I know one alternator is 2 wire and one is a 4 wire. My question is I have a 6 bolt swap but I'm not sure if I am using the 2g or the 1 g alternator. I did have a 100A fuse in the fuse box, but I odn't know if that is an indicator. Either way, I just wanted to know what year galant has the alternator that fits a 2g with a 6 bolt swap.

It depends which alternator you have. Usually i use the 2g alternator for a 6-bolt swap. It doesn't make sense to use a 1g alternator in a 2g. I would look and see if you have an uncut connector on your alternator, if it's clean run the 2g replacement.
