How much work and what parts would I need to make my FWD 1993 5-speed 2.0 eclipse non-turbo (6 bolt engine) into an AWD?

You need everything from the AWD drivetrain and suspension. And very deep pockets. Buy an AWD shell instead.

Yep just what i would have seen just find a shell, 1g swaps are very rare, and much easier to find the shell. then you can swap everything over to it, except the drivetrain.

Yeah I'd be better off buying a AWD shell and dropping my new engine and new parts into it. =/ kinda surprising how many parts are different between the FWD and AWD. So much for that dream

They are saying to take EVERYTHING from the FWD and put it in the AWD shell. There is ONE guy on here that did the AWD conversion and had to cut out the entire spare tire well and weld in new metal. On an AWD, the spare tire sits above the hatch floor and takes up A LOT of space in the hatch. You're better off finding a decent shell.

its only worth doing an awd swap on something TINY like a dodge colt or mitsu mirage. even then you have to cut out the trunk floor.

its weight reduction while keeping full interior.
