fwd axle/trans chatter

Ok so i searched around to try an find out why i have a chatter noise during deceleration. I have a 90 fwd turbo 5 speed....... first read it was the ACT throw out bearing so i went to a oem one. Problem was the same so i came back found it couldve been the input shaft bearing so i went to mitsu dealer and got myself a bearing. Spent 100 bucks for the bearing job to find out it there wasnt anything wrong with it. So my qustion is what else could cause a real bad chatter sound from p/s of car during deceleration only. Goes away when coasting only deceleration and clutch engaged. Axles wet on p/s as well so is it the axle or the trans gears?

I have a very slight noise on decel too after installing a comp stage 4(2900lb PP) and fidanza flywheel. I used theyre TOB. The noise has not gotten worse however so im not worried atm.
Im surprised it wasnt the TOB in your case. Strange

Diff seal is gone on that one side of the tranny with that axle being wet as it is.

..............which means your tranny could be almost out of fluid. Prob is running dry.

No ive been watching it, check the other day, royal purple is way to much to let run out of trans. Ill try to replace the seal but theres still something making that noise. Ill inspect seal and fluid level again and see what happens thx for the ideas.

Is it possible theres a bad diff gear in trans? only on one side?

na fluid is good im at a loss with it

I checked the seals there good did bearing 2 weeks ago and the fluid still comes out of trans fill hole so it isnt losing it bad. Just damp. Ive come to the conclusion its the planetary gears in the trans houseing for the axle has to be worn gears. I dont think it could be the axle itself. Anyone with any comments or suggestion not related to fluid please help before i spend more money to fix. Is the trans in a 1g hard to do?

Either the trans is bad or your clutch assembly is faulty. Do you have the bushings in this picture? The two bottom white circles.

Yea i remember trying to line the trans up to them and its a new clutch. It has to be worn gears in the axle part of trans. I gotta guy that has done the trans before good work nice prices ill have him check it out

Wow they really did mean it wouldnt take long to know your way around a DSM car if you buy one.....my last ? bout this trans before i pay him again to take it apart. Is it possible for a differential in a fwd trans to go bad and only one axle be affected or is it poosible that i have a smaller/bad axle on the p/s?

Alright so i learned a few things today.
1.) 3 out of 4 motor mounts from drop engineering fit the fwd eclipse.
2.) drop engineering does not make fwd motor mounts.
3.) awd motor mounts on a fwd car will make the axle chatter.

Long story short i ordered these mounts from imageimportracing.com from Florida. The web page says fits: 90-94 mitsu eclipse turbo so i bought them and sat them to the side so i can clean the car up before putting them in. Time goes by and i go to put them on, all but one fit. So i called dropengineering.com and they told me they dont offer fwd motor mounts for 4g63 fwd. So i called and explained to them they advertised these as fitting eclipse not just AWD eclipse (kinda important to list i think) and wanted to exhange for the right set. i was told it has been to long since purchase date to return even tho they were just installed.(1 1/2 months ago) Hopefully they exchange them for the right ones or cut me a deal on new. Put old mount on noise is gone.

Any awd guys want a set of black drop engineering motor mounts with red bushings? 150$ obo. mounts are like new
