I was at my friends house earlier today and My car drove fine no problems. When I was getting ready to leave the car wouldn't start. When you turn the key to accerey shouldn't the fuel pump wine. Its a walboro 190 well I get nothing and the black wire on the fuel pump is really warm can anybody help?

Sounds like your fuel pump is shorting out somewhere and it could be a bit of a mission to tru and figure out where. The stock fuel pump wiring is crap and you are always better off replacing it anyway. Try buying one of the $10 fuel pump re-wiring kits of EBay for DSM's and rewire it up bypassing the stock wiring. If it fixes the problem then great, if not at least you upgrade your line for cheap and can look for another reaosn why it's not working? ie dead/short in the fuel pump, relay, wiring somewhere else up the line :)

Because we live in a land of lawyers...the pump doesn't work like you think it would...

Firstly...it flat doesn't work in the accessory position...ever....

It does run 24/7 anytime the key is in the start position.

It will run in the key on position only if the engine is running. Those wily engineers don't want to get sued,...so they have the fuel pump relay tied into the ecu..

I'll let someone more educated than myself help you troubleshoot the situation at hand...
I just thought I'd share the little bit I do know about it

Good luck!

did you replace the strainer before installing the new pump? if the pump gets a little clogged from a used strainer it'll start to heat up due to the lack of fuel flow.
