Having trouble on deciding what fuel pump and injectors would be best for my setup as I have a single walbro 255 and fic 1050s in the car which made 508 on 93 pump gas on a precision 6262. But I am looking to make around 650hp or a little more on race gas or e85 fuel which I know for a fact is no where near enough fuel for that power. The motor is built so don't worry about that just need some advice for fuel.
I know the full blown double pumper would do the job I was just wondering if there was any single in-tank fuel pumps out there that you would recommend like for example a jays 342lph fuel pump would that be enough? Also injectors I do not want some big 2150s which is overkill in my opinion I was thinking more along the lines of 1450s or so.

I see what you're saying I wish the calculator would have a fuel pump size to calculate in there as well. But saying "might be able to support that" does not help me out.

Definitely FIC 2150s or ID 2000s, youll want a high z as low zs are a pain. I have the 1450 BM and it was a PITA to get 93 to run without rpm specific stumble.

For the pump, recently on a friends dyno an evo made just under 550 with 2 255s and a nasty fillter and then ran out of pump (e85). Changed to dual 340s and he was good to go. The biggest pump I know of in tank is wally 450. Youll need more than that.

FYI Full Blowns kit has an option to come with 2 E85 340s. Call em up:thumb:

Figure out how much air you will be flowing. Once you know that, the fuel type, and the AFR you plan to run, you can determine how much fuel you need, and then pick a pump that will flow the correct amount at a given voltage and base pressure.

The calculators are there; you just have to do a few steps to fill in the blanks.

EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts. Considering it says it can handle 800hp and the price, I would say it's a good deal. May be worth looking into.
As for injectors, the 2150's will be able to handle your power goal. I rock fic bm 1650's on a 20g runnnig e85 and am only at 51% injector duty. 1650's may, or may not be enough injector for 650whp.

Im pretty sure all pump claims are based on pump/race gas. Def not E85, even if its an E85 designed pump. Plus everytime I order from Ex PSI, someone is buying plane tickets to Paris and booking a hotel using my debit card and I have a mess with the bank, still stuck in Illinois...

Who has this option out there? STM?? Would like 2 e85 450's in a full blown assembly to make sure gas is never a problem. Lol

When the kit for the evo was ordered, we just called full blown directly to set up shop pricing. Im sure you could call them and assemble a package, but they use their own pump company I guess, or an unbadged version of another 340 lph e85 pump.

Lol that would be borderline overrunning a -8 return. Have that second pumps hobbs switch set to kick on at 30 psi and it would take you to 60 with 2 450s

Last order I placed with them I had over 2k in Paris vacation charges, and thats after spending nearly 3k with them! From airfare booked from Pennsylvania to hotels in paris. Dont get me wrong, Im not trying to bash them at all, they have great parts, prices, service, and they updated their checkout security since then according to Mr. Do. Ha also contacted me about it via FB to make amends, and I am very grateful for that. I just know Im not the only one this has happened to is all.

Lol well I plan on -10an feed lines and -8 return so sounds like im planning about right LOL..

and im not sure i know what you mean, by what u said about the second pump coming on at 30psi??

I always wire my 2 pump setups to a hobbs switch. Its a pressure activated switch so your second pump isnt on all the time. you can have it kick on at anywhere from 5-15psi with basic switches most local speed shops have. AEM also has this built in to their program, but Im not sure if you can with link through a map though. I need to look into that.

Exactly, although 30 psi is probably a bit late, Id start it at more like 10psi. I just said 30 to exaggerate, since we were talking twin 450s LOL but thats a bridge to cross when you get there. Im sure theres awesome how to tech articles about it.

It's interesting that you mention running out of Return line. I believe R/TErnie over on EvoM was having a problem with fuel overrun on his big E85 setup last fall. He had his second pump setup in his ECM. Can't for the life of me remember what size pumps he was running, but his goal is 650whp at 9000rpm, so pretty much right on track with the OP. Perhaps something to consider...

Thanks Dude Mcgee!!

Just curious, what happens/ what are the symptoms when you over-run the return line?.... as I'm used to old school carb'd vehicle's with no fuel return line.

I def dont want to overrun a fuel line but dont want to be short on gas, im shooting for 700awhp with my auto so I have to make sure I have plenty of fuel.

Your base fuel pressire goes sky high, and cannot be lowered past a certain point. The evo I mentioned above had a -8 feed, -6 return. The second pump came on at 12 psi. The tuner wanted to try to run them both all the time, but we couldnt get fuel pressue below something like 55 psi. So that and all the symptoms of excessive fuel delivery.

Your -10/-8 plan would handle a LOT of fuel. I think overrunning your return shouldnt really be a large worry when your larger than stock. As long as your second pump is coming on when your consuming a majority of what the first one offers, you should be good to go.
