So I am having my 97 GSX dyno tuned by English Racing here in a month or two. I talked to Aaron on the phone and we just need to set up a day when I can drive up there. I have a Mitsubishi 20g turbo, built 6-bolt, built head with HKS cams and cam gears, and all the goodies. Check out my profile on here. I really want to get anything over 400AWHP,on pump gas, thats my goal. I know my motor is 100% capable of putting out this power all day long, the only thing i'm not so sure about are the injectors. I am currently running DENSO 660cc's, I know densos most of the time will flow more than they are rated but still, do you think this is enought fuel for my goal?
Should I get 850cc's or something before this dyno?
I personaly don't think the 660's can do it, but I am really not sure, anyone with personal experience on this...Tuning with DSM link but if I don't need to upgraded then I'd rather not.

Thanks in advance, I have read for hours and hours on DENSO 660's but am still left unsure...

Assuming aaron will be tuning you, be safe and give him a call and ask him. Being as english racing has lots of experiance tuning they would know better then most as to the fuel flow youd need. I think upgrading would be a safe bet either way

It wouldnt hurt to upgrade to 750 or 850cc. Leaves you room to play with also. What base fuel pressure are you running? to get the full 660cc out of them have your base fuel pressure at the stock 2nd gen 43 p.s.i.. A good place to look up would be the dyno forum, to see what other guys are using when reaching 400 plus H.P with the 20G

You're not telling us how much boost you plan to run!
How much does the 20g flow at the boost level you want, and will the 660's keep up with that about of airflow??

Theres a formula to this but you arent stating much to help go by!!

With your 660s, your IDC will be at 100% flowing roughly 36.89 lbs/min! But thats 100% IDC i would try to keep it down to 80% IDC which is about 29.51 lbs/min of air flow!

the 880's will be at 80% IDC flowing 39.35 lbs/min of air!! You figure what you want from that!

My base fuel pressure is set at stock 43psi..
I want to boost as high as i can on my setup with pump gas, not sure what that will be yet..I imagine around 25psi

I think I will just go ahead and get new injectors im thinkin 850cc.. Anyone have a good brand of injector I should go for?

Assuming its a tdo6 20g and you are able to run 25psi on pump gas with a BJ SMIM :)thumb:) I bet you see about 45 lbs/min or so. The 660's you are currently running will be kissing 100% IDC with those type of airflow readings, you can turn up your base fuel pressure and get some injector back though. The better option, since you are a few months out, would be to get a set of 850cc injectors to keep your IDC's around 80% so you don't lean out and destroy your motor.
