Bad turbo? Should I upgrade?

I just bought this car, 90 TSI, so now i'm trying to fix all the problems. The main one being after its boosting I get a bunch of blue smoke. I pulled the compressor pressure side hose off and there's oil in it. So the turbo is going bad, right?

I'm pretty sure its the stock 14b turbo and I don't think there's really anything else done to the car, other than what looks like a 3in cat back exhaust, and a really anoying muffler. So what supporting mods would I need to run say a 16G turbo?

I plan on at the very least rewiring the fuel pump right away, and a 190 fuel pump if needed. Also a set of guages.

Thanks, Aaron

You'd need some 550's (injectors) for a 16g and something to tune them with. A SAFC would work, or DSMLink. If you just have a catback, I'd put a larger downpipe on as well to go with the 16g. Good luck!

Yeah I wasn't sure if id need bigger injectors to be able to fuel a 16G or not. Is that the next bigger turbo to the stock 14b?
