Resolved Fuel Injector tip

Does anyone know if the pintle cap is necessary or is it a must? for a stock fuel injectors.

nm, I ended up installing the injectors with pintle caps without any problems so far.

Inectors work witout pintle tips. However the spray patern in reduced and you do not get as small fuel droplets when they are broken or missing. Resulting in a less even burn.

The pintle caps also help position the injector in the injector insulator so it seals well.

You guys are right the injectors didn't end up running right. After running them for about 40 straight miles last night the idle alternated from high to low in no particular pattern. I will be reinstalling the other injectors for the mean time while I order new caps from injector rehab.
