Just finishing installing my Walbro fuel pump in my gsx and let me tell you that 14mm nut under the car is a pain in the a$$.
I spent over an hour trying to break it loose and I was just about to give up.
I was using flare wrenches so they weren't slipping but I just couldn't break it loose no matter how much I tried.

So I decided to try to use a vice grip on the 14mm and the flare on the 19 mm
1 try and I broke it loose without breaking a sweat. I wasted an hour with the flare wrench when all I needed was a vice grip.
Just thought I'd share that with everyone. Other than that the removal and install is very easy and anyone should be able to do it.
Enjoy

Brian

For me the vice grip doesn't even work and I haven't been able to pop that line loose since I've owned my 2g. I just snipped the rear seat floor way more than you're supposed to and I pull the whole assembly up and out of the tank and change the fuel pump while the assembly is still attached to the fuel line.

Kind of a pain and you have to be careful not to break the level sender but it works.

Lol guys if you want a favorite "If you have to" method, to change the fuel pump... When just as oneslowwdsm mentioned, the flare wrenches/vicegrips/pollock wrenches aren't doing anything but starting to twist the line/round the nuts off: cut the hose going up past those, and use dual ended barbs to get it back together. It's been YEARS ...no leaks.
