I just bought a 92 talon turbo fwd with no mods done to it. This is my first dsm project car. From what I can tell by the vehicle history all the cars previous owners were women, hence the car still being bone-stock. But, here's my problem, when I'm idling the car runs at about 1350 rpms. I've read some stuff on this about there being too much air and such and such. But also when I punch it I get fuel cut around 5500 rpms (and yes i'm sure it's fuel cut). Now from what i gathered fuel cut is caused by the ecu reading too much air, and high idle is caused by the ecu reading too much air, so could both these problems be from the same source? If so I don't know what to fix or how to diagnose. It suprised me when I got fuel cut because I only thought modded cars experienced that problem, so I naturally associated it with my high idle speed. Thanks for any help guys. And please don't send me a link to a thread with 500 posts on it. Thanks again.
PS. I haven't had any check engine lights.
