I had a clifford alarm sytem that went to crap and would cause the car to start but would only run for one to two min. then the alarm system would cut the car off. Got that disconnected and the issue went away, now i came across a new problem. I can ease into boosting the car and it will be fine, but if i punch it, it will fall on it's face around max boost and 3000 rpms. I have my boost controller set to 10 psi. checked for boost leaks nothing. Changed mafs same problem. still drove the car nicely with out punching the gas but now the mpi relay starts clicking rapidly (and you can hear the fuel pump cut on and off when it ticks), when the key is in acc mode, but not when the car is on. the mpi relay that is in is only a couple months old i bought a new one from chrystler before. before the alarm system was removed i had put in a walbro 190 fuel pump so those two shouldn't be a issue, also tried replacing the fuel filter. would my computer be causing these problems? i have a extra ecu laying around that is epromed but would it have to be flashed if i put it in? nobody in my area has any ideas what could be causing this problem. Figured i would turn to the experts. help please

my car had the very same problems turned out to be a vaccum leak between the intake and valve cover its a small nozzle everyone blocks off check it out and the rest of your lines easiest way is a water bottle run water down the llines search for cracks and rotting good luck

sounds either like a boost leak, or fuel cut. Either of which are solved easily.

still had same problem.. except the battery went to hell, i got a new one and all problems went away pulled hard at 15 psi no fuel cut or anything no clicking from the mpi relay.. two weeks later im back to the fuel cut issue, hits right at 10 psi and doesn't seem to pull as hard getting up there. Getting really stressed out with this issue, nobody around me has any clues as to what is going on... anyone?

When you did the boost leak test what psi did you pressurize to and how long did it hold? As for it working with a new battery it could very easily be not getting enough voltage to the fuel pump, and your alternator would be the cause of the batter draining. Drive to autozone and have them put a load on both and see what happens.
