Hello everyone! So I bought a fmic with bov and pipes out of 1995 tsi for a $150. I'm planning to install it to my 1992 tsi. How hard is it to install it. Do I have to do a lot of mod or it will fit the way it is? another question is what do i need to tune a maf with translator? Is wideband would be okey or do I need a logger too. Thanks

why install a 2g in a 1g first of all, did you look for wideband its monitors the air fuel raitos, look at the gm maf translator here in the search area.

well first off all got it cheap $150 for fmic, pipes, bov, maf, and translator you can't go wrong with that.

What type of intercooler is it, there are many different dimensions of intercooler that fit. You will have to modify the piping or make your own.

It can be done but any pics of the fmic, so much information regarding the set up,do you have a wideband, how is it tuned get a logger at least, and do some more reading to help decide on a tuning device.

To answer your questions, The 95 FMIC will not direct fit onto your 92, you will need to custom your IC pipings or cut your frame.

The WB does not need anything to tune, it just monitors your air to fuel ratio, you can utilize it to enhance your tuning with a tuning program. It's just similar to an O2 sensor.

and for the translater, you'll need the one for the 1g, GM MAS, and a palm pilot works well. SAFCII isn't too bad either.

I have the gm mas too. My buddy has a palm pilot data logger that we can use for tuning. So the 2g translator will not work on a 1g car?
