This trustworthy guy sold me an eclipse with what he said a freshly rebuilt motor with
1g 6 bolt block: crank pistons and piston rods

2g cylinder head and wiring harness

Tdo5h turbo freshly rebuilt as well

I'm driving it not hard at all and I feel loss off power and heard a noise. I pull over and after a minute with the motor shut off water is on the ground and steam coming from the engine. I didn't drive it but I waited an hour just to see if it would crank and it started but I heard a light knock.

I called the guy and he said everything is brand new check for a hose that busted. He then said the no power issue was probably a boost leak.

There's plenty of oil. It's not milky or anything. Today I'm going to fill it up and try to see where the car leaks.

Does anyone have any advice or things to check? I know it's probably the motor is there a rebuild lot for the Frankenstein motor? that would make this easier.

Not sure what caused the coolant loss. The loss of power is the knock sensor pulling timing. Rod knock sounds the same to the sensor as spark knock. All you can do is tear it down and see what the problem is. In my many years I've saw a lot of rebuilds that was down with a spray can of paint.

Hope it's nothing serious.
