You should really do a boost leak test to verify. Plus, not many ppl recommend a FMIC on a T25 for that very reason, "slows" the flow down.

It will slow the spool down but not that much, you should still notice it, if you are getting none then you hooked it up wrong or didn't tighten something.
 
Well before I mounted the core I had all the pipes connected and i started the engine. I revved the car and it spooled and popped-off still, so I know it has to be hooked up right

you don't build boost at idle, or in neutral.

you have a boost leak somewhere. would recommend going to lowes or home depot and building a boost leak tester. you can do it for under $10.

We don't build any boost under rev unless you have a serious issue...
