Ok i posted this in the newbie forum because it's kinda a beginner question.I've never really looked at the inside of a fmic but i had to get my car towed today because i threw a rod and the tow truck dented the bottom of my fmic.It is in the very bottom front center and it goes in about 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch on the bottom front. The fmic only had like 100 miles on it and i hope it didnt hurt it.Does anyone know the integrity of these fmic's,if they can take something like that and be ok?It is the punishment street 1g fmic.

Do a boost leak test. Next time when they show up without a wheel lift to tow your car tell them to get lost. Towing a car with car without a metal bumper with a sling is very un professional. Might even try to file a claim with the company if it is damaged.

Many cores have just a flat bar across the bottom that doesn't flow air. Then a row of fins above that that is about 1/2" tall. Then you start hitting rows with pressurized air.

So you have to dent them pretty good on the bottom to do some real damage.

The bottom of mine is all banged up from bottoming out and stuff.

When I had to have my car towed, I had them pull it up on the flatbed backwards so they didn't mess up the bumper or FMIC.

Ya i wasnt there when he towed it and he claimed that he had built 3 dsm's in the past.Obviously he didnt see the f-n fmic so i claim bullshit that he built dsm's,but none the less it sucks and a boost leak test is the last thing on my mind with the block situation going on.Honestly i was gonna sell it to help pay for the rebuild and just buy an e.t.s. fmic later when i can afford it,but i dont want to sell it if it's jacked up.Kinda sucks that it is brand new.I'll post a pic so y'all can see here in a minute.

Here it is. I took a close up of it so it looks bigger than it is, as you can see it doesnt even go all the way to the top of the first row which is maybe an 1/8 of an inch so idk?
