Haha, heres my 96 eclipse(pretty nasty eh), it had several layers of paint so I sanded the entire car down and sprayed her flat black with good ol' spray can black primer(yes the primer in a can you buy at autozone). While doing so I went ahead n put the 97-99 front and rear on. Trust me, this is temporary, I basically put it on there so It wont rust for the time being, and it actually looks better than the original white paint that was chipping off ha. I thought id do that instead of grey primer. Anyways car will be going into the shop soon to be painted black, weld the spoiler holes(keeping it wingless), 97-99 skirts, and still trying to decide on which 18" black rims I want. Im posting these pics because i know ppl wanted to actually paint their eclipse's flat black for a PAINTJOB so here is what it looks like(its very dirty, it might look a little bit better if my car didnt see a mile long dirt road everyday). Here are some pics, all I can say is please dont.
The flat black looks hard on some muscle cars, but these 2g eclipse's need a nice glossy paint job IMO. I cant wait untill its done, black on black 2gb's make me drool. ill post new pics once its painted.
