glad to see you are keeping it:) So far, from the front angle of the pic, it looks really good flat black, I cant wait to see the other pics though:thumb:

EDIT: I was wondering the same thing, did you spray it with a gun or cans? If it was with cans, that looks good. I dont see any blemishes from the pic you posted.

Rob.

Yah Im wondering also how did you paint it do u have any other pics of the final product??? Did you use and sealer or just flat black... Ive been wanting to do this my self that shit is cheap per gallon......

looks to me like its about 4 different shades in that first pic. did you strip the old paint or primer it or anything?

If I made as much money as he does, I'd have one too....

Well... maybe an F50....

Hell, if we're talking flat-black supercars, I'd go for a McLaren.

I used a the air compressor in their barn and I borrowed a gun from a friend. I sanded all old paint off with a DA sander and by hand. Then shot 2 coats of reg. primer. Then I shot it with the Flat Black paint. It some spots where it is different shades, is b/c its a small barn and I had to get pretty close to the body which didn't turn out very well. So when I get to use my friends shop I am going to re-spray it. And now on to the pictures (If my computer doesn't #### out on me)

Rear shot at my house. Funny story to the lights. I took out my tail lights before painting. When done, I put the bulbs in as normal. But I put the drive side tail light bulbs in wrong. I put the Blinker Bulb in my Red part of my tail light and the normal Tail Light bulb that is always on in my Amber Blinker Part. RESULT: Amber Turn Signal is always on.This is what it looks like!

Side shot. You can kind of see where the gun got to close. Don't worry. It will all be touched up and all even out soon. The rest of the car should look like the front bumper.

Did you take the covers off the bottom of your doors? that looks good, almost like it has a widebody...but not...looks sweet man, now i want to paint mine flat black!

Yes I did take them off. I took them off one day to see how they looked and I liked them off. It makes the car have a wider look and makes it look like I have side skirts. Well technically they are. I am still decideing on if I should put the lower door peice back on. But I don't think I will. I might weld, fill, and fiberglass the holes.

Man that is nice!!!
I really like it ...Ive always liked the whole primer look but Ive never seen anything like that ..:thumb:
Sorry man but Im gonna have to go burger king on you and copy that.
:p
Can you give me some small details on what is needed to accomplish this :D

Hey who knows, you may have started a trend here.

i think it would look ghetto, but then again i saw a flat black STi, wingless and shaved and it looked mean as satan himself.

but then again it IS a STI do what you wish. if you do it, prep it well and take your time, buy LOTS of krylon. perhaps buy that mag and read the write up.
