Yeah basically, there are tiny black pieces of plastic in between the top and bottom pins in the ecu connection side you will slide those back in to "lock" it in place. you dont have to put the plastic back in but you might end up like me! ROFL

is this what you were referring to calan?

createvolumetricefficiencymap [ECMTuning - wiki]

i have been trying to get this wideband to log correctly all day long, following the directions i get max @ .57 volts (14.7:1) and min 1.1 (11:1) and it seems to work perfectly , but when i change my global fuel back to where it needs to be ( after forcing 11.1 and 14.7 to get the voltages ) it changes completely

Pretty sure i broke the shift fork for 3rd gear, wouldn't be the first, or second time..

but i did get a few pulls in before hand. i am still getting knock. i even loaded in a 2g timing map and i have 100 octane low lead fuel in the car (emptied tank before hand) on 20-21 psi , ive got some with 26-28 as well , this stupid boost controller needed the spring stretched out to even achieve a solid boost level after 14, it was 14 or fully closed at 30+

wide band is not accurate , ive been fighting it all day. gauge read 10:1 the entire pull i believe.

soo, little update

broke my modified shift fork ( see the extra material i had welded on after the roll pin? )
and got a new evo shift fork (55$ from dealer, shop cost)

<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/?action=view&amp;current=20111006200608.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/20111006200608.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

and as a reference for guys running aem gauges on dsmlink that cant quite dial it in, i found this information EXTREMELY useful. I read somewhere that i needed to turn the rotary knob to p4 and i was loaded in voltages from p0 instead which was screwing me up.

<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/?action=view&amp;current=IMAG0241.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/IMAG0241.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

WHICH MEANS i finally got the wideband to log correctly (i hope) just going off of what i seen the gauge at and comparing with the log while playing with the voltages. coming right from the aem sheet, if you open the log and display linwideband change the preferences to: min volt-.9 and max volts-.45 and the afr displayed should be correct and damn near. Remember i was saying i saw 10:1, well this logs from 10.6:1-9.8:1 so im sure its good. now with this information is there a way to go over my log and suggest anything?

there are ALOT of people that have trouble with logging AEM with ECMlink, i hope they find this information in a quick search to save the heartache.

another update

<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/?action=view&amp;current=IMAG0270.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/IMAG0270.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/?action=view&amp;current=IMAG0269.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/IMAG0269.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

, finally fixed that issue once and for all, i hope. by doing this

<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/?action=view&amp;current=IMAG0273.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/IMAG0273.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/?action=view&amp;current=IMAG0272.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/IMAG0272.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/?action=view&amp;current=IMAG0278.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f224/mxdawg121/IMAG0278.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

anyways take a look at the log. its pretty short and probably useless. but i cannot get the aem to log correctly at idle/cruise but seems perfect at wot. i dont know.

i didnt log this, but i video'd it. you can skip all the talking and bullshitting and what not. i just mount my phone here to record the gauges that i cant watch during acceleration. mostly oil pressure egt and fuel pressure. and as you can see in thie video, maybe. is the afrs creep up to 12:1. i may or may not still be experiencing fuel pump issues. i thought i fixed it but maybe not, was creeping up to 16-18:1 before.

new log , i got a few more pulls in trying to dial the tune and the clutch is screwed. drove it home the other day starting in third at every stop light and smoked the hell out of it. i added some timing , and fuel the wideband is accurate. there may be a very slim splash of 100 octane left in there but i doubt it. anyways if you suggest anything i will gladly use it!

i want to get afrest to match lin wideband right? by adjusting my ve table?

I corrected A LOT in your tune, the key to your VE SD table, OLMaxOct, & TmngMaxOct tables is nice and smooth transitions from cell to cell. To setup a car running SD the first thing I do is go straight into the TmngMaxOct table (on a 1g) and copy the 2g STOCK timing map. Its conservative and a good starting point and you won't get knock from timing advance while you're tuning AFR's.

Once I copy/paste in the stock 2g timing tables I go to the OLMaxOct map and set AFR's to where I like them from the bottom right portion of the table (being the richest) and working my way back into the lower RPM's, keeping things NICE AND SMOOTH with no significant jumps in AFR. Yours start at 11:1 but then go all over the place, both rich and lean, with no smoothing. I fixed all that for you in the attached DA files, as well as copied in the stock 2g timing map for you to start with. Key is not to break your DSM before you tune it.

Your SD VE map is also all over the place, which again is the exact opposite of what it should look like. You're going to want to install the supplied DA maps as well as the attached SD VE map, which I smoothed out and made it generic to work with your car, which will need tuned still.

Once you save both attached to your ECU start over tuning idle (running the SD VE Adjust CombinedFT tool) then onto cruise, doing the same. Once you get idle/cruise tuned, getting FT's where they need to be in closedloop, do a WOT 3rd gear pull from 3k to 7k watching AFR's and the CEL while you're mashing the gas.

got another log, and i tried adjusting my ve table, if you could just take a peak and see if im doing it correctly that would be awesome.

the afrs quickly rising may not be a tune issue, it seems like in the lower gears the afrs go higher, into the 13:1 range. could be my sump and fuel pump issue.. if the adjustments dont make a difference i will just have to figure something out for the fueling issue.
