Just got mine in the mail. He could have packaged it better. It was in a box with just a popped Jegs bag and the front and rear of the converter had rubbed a hole in the box. Doesnt apear to be damaged though. Hope it works well, cant wait to get my car running.

I'm pretty sure my 10" was under 20lbs and the stock 11" was like 23lbs, this is just off the top of my head, but they can't be the same just based off the hub size.

I saw 3200rpm in a stock stall . No nos,antilag,2-step etc.. Brakes couldnt hold anymore. Needed a vacum pump... & this was about 94% stock ?

On a stock auto I was able to see 4000rpms with the 13G turbo. Anyone here needing one of these newer converters is running a decently sized turbo (50trim to 4202?). You are comparing something that is completely low end to setups that are all top end.

I am still waiting to hear back from the billet converter setup I was going to use. If I hear nothing back this week, I will be contacting the guy at sinister. It would be nice to have two billet converter companies to go to though. :thumb:

Yea I know , just wanted to fv(k with some ppl LOL :) . But ya I used a t25 haha

I must say that after all the apologies that Mike had from losing my email due to spam, he's been very helpful. I'll be ordering my new converter this week, since this is one of my missing links.

Anyone have any experience with how well these converters do on the street?

I haven't put mine in the car yet. However I can tell you with 99% certainty that a converter that a 4 cyl can stall to over 5000rpm's won't do well on the street. Its going to slip a lot, its going to build heat, and you will run into issues. Sorry if this wasn't what you were looking for, but talking to the V8 guys this is what you can expect.

Mike from sinister speed can build you a converter that will stall up for big turbos and still be streetable. Email him and tell him a bit about your setup and what your looking to do with it and he will work with you to build a converter to suit your needs. High stall v8 converters and 4 cylinder ones are very different. Speak to Mike he'll explain everything to you.

Thanks for the input. I know its going to build more heat than a stock restall but even my restall doesn't take the temps above 180 on a hot day in city driving. The 5000rpm stall also needs n20 to get it there... I usually stall my ipt restall to 4400 on the track and turn it down to 4300 for the streets. But on motor it only goes to 3000rpm. If it were so loose that it could flash to 5000 on motor alone I am guessing thats a different story.

Exactly, V8 motors create tons of torque down bottom so they can easy flash the converter and create tons of heat. Our motors to create as much torque so you'd need to spray to get to the converters max stall. This also makes the converters more easy to drive in the streets without too much worrying about cooking the trans.

My Hughes converter is a max stall..On my particular car, it drives like a regular converter around town, the temps are a little higher than normal, but on the interstate, the temps start to rise more when driven over 60mph..This isn't a big issue, but you have to always be paying attention to your temps....
While this sinister converter does seem to be more efficient, it will raise temps similarly depending on the stall you request....
