Alright well i am in the process of trying to find the best transmission fluid to put in my car. Basically the options are, OEM, some brand of syncromesh, Redline, and Royal Purple. I have read countless threads on people recommending each but I want to know which one comes out on top out of all of these! But also if you have another tranny oil that you think is best feel free to share! Thanks everyone!

dia queen lsd for the diff and the dia queen for trans is what i use. cant help on were to get it cheap, but at work we have it, so i borrow it.

Is, or is the original OP who started this thread satisfied now with his decision of which fluids he wants to use?

Come summer, I'm doing the tranny fluid changeout and will repeat my choice, being Redline MT-90 since it proved itself very reliable, shifts were smooth when I changed it 2 yrs and 20k miles ago on a 160k mile tranny.

After 4 years of trying everything that you can get from a AutoZone i just stick with Valvoline 75w-90. Works well for me, evo/dsm.

Damn i'm really stuck on what to get now. Reasonably priced redline or expensive as tits diaqueen. Both are supposed to be amazing and make the tranny shift like butter so maybe I will give redline a try and if it is a no go I will buy the diaqueen.

ill admit the dia queen is hella over priced, but it works great. the cars that i service here that have used it since new, are in great condition.
the diamond gear lube is 75w-85w gl-4 fluid. the lsd oil is gl-5 straight 90w with special lsd additives. the evo's with 6 speed trannys run a special gl4 fluid, it has an additive to the normal gl-4.
all in all, you can run any brand you wish, i dont recommend running anything but the specified weights.
if i recall correctly the 75w 85w is kinda rare to find in common name brands/retail stores. hope this is useful info for someone.

i might give the redline a try, but with the diaqueen at my disposal i really have no reason. but you cant beat that price.

^^ Ahh thanks for that link! I was looking for a site that had the redline the cheapest! Now I have to buy 4 quarts correct?

From what I see everyone love redline fluid maybe I should give that a go on my next fluid Change.

Fwd 2.3quarts

Amsoil 75-90w works good that's what I'm using

royal purple sells far to many kinds of fluid. they actually have synchromax, MT fluid, AT fluid, gear saver, 90w, 75-90w, and something similar to shockproof that i forgot the name of. if you get the correct fluid royal purple is very good, if you walk in to vauto zone and buy what the guy at the counter sells you your in for trouble.

i like just the standard 75w-90 royal purple in the tranny.

I have used the OEM Diaqueen 6-speed (Evo) fluid ever since my transmission was rebuilt around 4 years ago. Transmission still shifts just like it did when the transmission first went back in the car. I change the fluid out every year around 15k miles.
